Motor Vehicle Operator, Elderly and Persons with Disabilities
The Borough of Keyport is seeking a dependable, professional, and compassionate Bus Driver to provide safe and reliable transportation for senior citizens programs, activities, shopping trips, and other scheduled community outings.
The ideal candidate will operate a passenger bus, assist seniors with boarding and exiting the vehicle as needed, and provide courteous and respectful service to all passengers. Responsibilities include conducting pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, maintaining the cleanliness of the vehicle, keeping accurate trip records, and ensuring passenger safety at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid New Jersey Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger (P) Endorsement
- Clean driving record
- Ability to safely operate a passenger bus
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to work respectfully and effectively with older adults and individuals with varying mobility needs
Candidates must demonstrate patience, professionalism, reliability, and a commitment to providing a positive experience for Senior Center participants.
Salary: $18.00 – $26.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
