Construction Notice:

Residents Keyport,

Church Street

Work completed to date:

  • New water main and house service installations are complete as of June 30th
  • As of September 14th, 800 feet of new storm sewer, manholes and catch basins were installed between the intersection of Waverly & Third and the end of East Third street.
  • Fulton Street on either side of Third Street was repaved on September 21st

Looking ahead:

  • Curbs & Sidewalks
    • Contractor will be remobilizing to replace curbs and sidewalks along the north side of E Third Street. Work is expected to take 1-2 weeks
    • Curbs and sidewalks on the south side of E Third will be replaced following installation of the headwall. This sequence will provide additional space for construction equipment to access the end of the street.
  • Storm Sewer Outfall
    • The new storm pipes have been extended to the edge of roadway along the south side of E Third for extension to the outfall.
    • Once NJDEP permits are in hand, the contractor will remobilize to continue pipe work from the edge of the E Third Street out to the creek.
  • Paving
    • Final paving of the road will be scheduled following completion of the outfall work. This work is anticipated for Spring.

Please be advised that Lucas Brothers, Inc. has been contracted by the Borough of Keyport for the Church Street Improvement Project.

3rd Street will be closed at the intersection of Fulton Street on Wednesday 8/23/2023 for 4 weeks until Wednesday 9/18/23. Please have all vehicles moved by 7AM Wednesday,

There will be no parking permitted on the street and will be limited access to the street between the hours of 7AM-4PM
