CODE ENFORCEMENT/PROPERTY MAINTENANCE

Please Help Keep Our Borough Beautiful
We need your help in maintaining the beauty of our borough. The following are common property maintenance violations that Code Enforcement deals with regularly:
High Grass and Weeds: Ensure grass and weeds do not exceed ten inches in height. Trim trees, shrubs, and branches over sidewalks (at least 80 inches) and roadways (at least 14 feet).
Inoperable and Abandoned Motor Vehicles: Vehicles left inoperable or abandoned for more than seven days must be addressed promptly.
Trash and Debris: Homeowners and tenants must keep all property grounds free of junk, trash, and debris. This includes proper storage of furniture not intended for outdoor use, appliances, and tires.
Sidewalk Maintenance: Sidewalks must be kept clear of tripping hazards such as raised edges, large cracks, and other deficiencies.
Water Drainage: Ensure proper drainage of water from roof drains, sump pumps, pools, and similar sources to prevent health concerns.
Township Trash and Recycling: Stay informed about township trash and recycling schedules and guidelines.
Snow Removal: Clear snow from sidewalks within 24 hours after a snowstorm ends.

Your cooperation in addressing these issues promptly not only enhances the appearance of our borough but also ensures a safe and healthy environment for all residents. Thank you for your attention to these matters.
