The NFIP Clinic is
intended for Homeowners who filed claims through the National Flood Insurance
Program (NFIP) and were not satisfied with the amount of money they
received. These individuals are able to request a review of their flood
insurance claim through FEMA at NO COST to the homeowner.
At these clinics,
FREE attorneys and advocates will explain the NFIP claims review process from
start to finish, answer any questions and conduct intakes for continued free
services if needed. These clinics are being sponsored by the non-profit
community in an effort to provide education and guidance to homeowners to
assist them in understanding and applying for a FEMA flood insurance
review. Housing counseling staff will be onsite to address clients need
for housing counseling and/or disaster case management services.
This clinic
is being presented as a collaborative effort between the Affordable Housing
Alliance's HRRC, the Ocean County LTRG, Senator Jennifer Beck and Assemblyman
Declan O'Scanlon.
