KEYPORT  GROUND BREAKING CEREMONY APRIL 4, 2009 1:00 PM

On April 4, 2009, Mayor Robert Bergen and Members of the Keyport Council will officially break ground on the new Keyport Waterfront Park The water front park is Phase II of the Borough's Waterfront Plan which includes recreational facilities and amenities, public parking and the reconstruction of American Legion Drive.

We're very excited to be at this phase, said Councilwoman ChristianBolte, This has been and will continue to be a very significant accomplishment that will serve residents and visitors for a long time to come.

"We're particularly pleased to see a project in which preservation is at the heart of a creative design, and is truly reflective of Keyport's one-of-a-kind character, said Councilman Joe Sheridan.

I'm ecstatic, said Mayor Bergen, this will mark the completion of the waterfront which will serve as a catalyst for leisure, business and residential development that will benefit the entire community.
