HYDRANT FLUSHING NOTICE

The Keyport Water Department will commence HYDRANT FLUSHING of the water distribution system on Monday, May 7, 2018 between the hours of 9:00 PM and 12:00 Midnight. The work is scheduled to be completed by Friday, May 18, 2018. Regular flushing is required by the State of New Jersey and is performed in order to improve the aesthetic quality of the water by removing any accumulated non-harmful sediment in the water mains.

The quality of water will not be affected, although some temporary discoloration or reduction in pressure may occur briefly in the area being flushed.

Residents are advised to CHECK THE WATER before washing clothing.
