As a follow-up to our conversation, here is additional information regarding the valve replacement work:

The leaking valve on Osborn Street was replaced yesterday.  The residents notified were the customers on Osborn Street from Front Street to Third Street who experienced shutdown of their water service.  Following replacement of the valve, air was expelled out of the water main through the hydrant on Osborn Street just south of 3^rd Street which is required so residents do not have air entrained in their water.  Residents in this area may experience some discoloration of their water.  Should this occur, residents should run their cold water until it clears.  Please advise if the water does not clear up as additional flushing of the water distribution lines in this area would be required.  We apologize for the inconvenience.
