3/10/2014 - Osborne Street Residents

Re: Rehabilitation of Osborn Street

Dear Resident:

As part of the Borough’s Roadway Improvement Program, the Borough will be rehabilitating Osborn Street from Front Street to Maple Place in 2014. The work has been awarded to Precise Construction, Inc. as part of the public bidding process.

Construction is scheduled to commence on or about March 10th and be substantially complete by April 25st, weather permitting.

The proposed work generally consists of roadway reconstruction, milling, and resurfacing. New handicap ramps will also be installed at all corners to comply with the Federal Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and a majority of the existing curbing will be replaced and sidewalk replacement will be performed to eliminate tripping hazards.

Tree removal may be necessary in certain locations to provide the required drainage and safety improvements. Affected homeowners will be contacted in advance of any tree removal.

There may be times during construction when you will be required to park outside of the project area on adjacent streets and your driveway may be inaccessible for several days. These instances will be coordinated by the contractor and local Police Department.

The project construction phase is being managed by the Borough’s engineering consultant, Hatch Mott MacDonald (HMM).

If you have any questions concerning the project, please call (732) 739-5123.

We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation in advance.
