During the current times of uncertainty, we want you to know that the safety and health of our residents, employees, and visitors remain a top priority.

We have had ongoing and continuous communication with our Office of Emergency (OEM) Coordinator, Chief of Police, Borough Administrator, Superintendent of Keyport Schools, as well as the Directors of the Keyport Senior Center, Keyport Library, and Keyport Food Ministerium Pantry.   We participated in a conference call today with Monmouth County Officials as well.

All Monmouth County and municipal health officials are following the guidelines set forth by the CDC and the NJDOH for monitoring and response to COVID-19 cases.

The best defense against the Coronavirus is to practice safe respiratory hygiene and take steps to prevent the spread of germs including washing hands with warm water and soap, covering coughs and sneezes, and staying home when sick.

What does a Presumptive Positive test result mean?   It means the test was positive at the state testing facility but it then has to be sent to Atlanta, GA to be tested by the CDC for an additional confirmation.  

When the initial state test is positive The State of New Jersey’s guidelines are such that they do NOT wait for the next round of testing and they move forward with taking measures as if it is going to be confirmed at which point the 14 day isolation period for the patient begins. 

Additional cleaning supplies and Purell dispensers have been added to all borough buildings.
