NOTICE

KEYPORT RESIDENTS

The Keyport Water Department will commence HYDRANT FLUSHING of the Water Distribution System on Monday, May 11, 2020 between the hours of 9:00 PM and 2:00 AM. The work is scheduled to be completed by Friday, May 22, 2020. Regular flushing is required by the State of New Jersey and is performed in order to improve the aesthetic quality of the water by removing any accumulated non-harmful sediment in the water mains.

The quality of water will not be affected, although some temporary discoloration or reduction in pressure may occur briefly in the area being flushed.
Residents are advised to CHECK THE
WATER before washing clothing.

Thank you for your cooperation. Robert Kutschman, Superintendent Keyport Public Works Department

In response to the latest Executive Order and due to the impending deadline, we held an emergency Borough Council meeting and the Council unanimously voted to extend the grace period for payment of second quarter taxes from May 10th to June 1st.

We are sensitive to the situation that many of our residents and homeowners are facing and hopes that additional time will grant at least a little relief to those finding themselves in difficult circumstances.

KEYPORT RESIDENTS:  Please remember to think before you flush! Please remember not to flush any  paper towels, tissues, any cloth material, disinfectant wipes or Baby wipes
